1. one of three hypothetical body types used to explain certain aspects of personality, the other two being called ectomorph and mesomorph. The endomorph is characterized by a predominance of structures developed from the endodermal layer of the embryo, and is inclined to be soft-skinned and fat, easy-going, and good natured.
2. a mineral enclosed within another mineral.
